Please stop replaying this song.

Poor Iyaz is having girl problems in 'Replay'.

The Plot
So Iyaz is hung up on a girl. He's thinking about her so much that it's like when you can't get a song out of your head - or in his case a "na, na, na" - and he won't stop banging on about her. He's like a bloody broken record!

But you shouldn't take this song on face value - the literary techniques are second to none. The repetition of replay to emphasise that the song is replaying over and over in his head is nothing short of brilliant and he uses possibly my favourite metaphor to date: "That girl is a gun to my holster." Genius.
So anyway, he reminisces a bit about meeting his shawty. We don't learn her name but what we do know is that she's "like somethin' off a poster", she's nocturnal and she's particularly well-travelled. Genuinely sounds like a catch.
If she takes a punt on him, I'm pretty sure it will go the distance. Their love actually transcends seas because they're "real worldwide." But I guess we'll just have to see how it (re)plays out.

Understandable then that this guy isn't going to do things by halves to get his baby girl. He promises to be her melody and write her the symphony of her fantasies. I personally wouldn't expect anything less.
